BIO

Derek Sinclair is an American guitarist who was born in Naples, Florida on May 22, 1996. 8 years later, he moved to Gatlinburg, Tennessee where he grew up for the next 10 years.

As a child, Derek was extremely eccentric and never put his hopes down. Derek was always found outside doing some activity, such as skateboarding, BMX, running, swimming, or inside making funny noises he heard on television.

Derek Sinclair first picked up the guitar after hearing his uncle play the Lynyrd Skynyrd classic hit, ''Sweet Home Alabama,'' when he was only 9 years old. His uncle showed him how to hold the guitar and place his hands on the strings; from that very instant he knew what he wanted to do with his life.

One week later, Derek received his first guitar. A Walmart First Act with steel strings. He played the guitar everyday for 7 days, then suddenly a family fight occured causing his first guitar to shatter. He never played again.

Four years later, Derek Sinclair was accidently signed up to the 8th grade Talent Show as a joke towards him. According to the sign-up sheet, Derek was to play the famous hit, ''Sweet Child O' Mine'' by the legendary Hard Rock band, Guns N' Roses. Derek had no intentions on playing in that years Talent Show and didn't know how to even play a chord on the guitar, but needless to say, he was determined. He had 2 weeks to buy a guitar and an amp, then learn the whole song, including that tear-bringing guitar solo.

Derek Sinclair went on that stage to play his first ever show in front of his whole school, and he went off as the winner. Since that day, Derek Sinclair has been playing guitar nonstop and continues to play. He is forming his own Rock band and is preparing to record his first album.
